Friends Forever

About the Book

Friends Forever is a heart warming story of animals, friends, and family.

Gram and Pop decide to move to a farm. When they take their grandchildren, and their kittens Sunshine, Trouble, Scout, and Runner to look at the farm, they are surprised and disturbed as to what they find in the barn.           

Sunshine and Runner are to busy playing in the snow and are left at the farm. They are cold, scared, and hiding under a blanket in the barn, when someone lifts the blanket off them and they run away as fast as they can.

As they are running away, something else is chasing them. They are running and running, but they are getting tired. When they stop, standing in front of them are three mean looking dogs.

When Gram and Pop get home, they realize that Sunshine and Runner are not there. Everyone is sad and worried about them, and the animal they found in the barn.

The next day, the family goes back to the barn hoping to find Sunshine and Runner.

There is so much happiness and some sadness in this story. In the end, everyone in the family knows the friends they made along the way, will be their friends forever.

About the Author

Diane DeCola was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in South Philadelphia. She has four children and eight grandchildren. She lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania with Jack, her husband of forty-four years.

She is a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. She is a contributing writer for Kid Zone magazine.

She loves the beach, butterflies, and especially her family.

This is her third children’s book. Her first children’s book is Inky. Her second children’s book is The Adventures of Inky and Midnight.
