About the Author
In 1956 the author moved with his parents to Beijing from New York City. As a young boy, he became very interested in traditional Chinese art, philosophy, religion and martial arts. By “chance”, he started to learn and practice Chinese meditation and Tai Chi during the late seventies when many styles of meditation and martial arts began to reappear after a long period of political turmoil in China.
In 1982, the author returned to the United States and now works as an engineer, continuing his meditation practice and study. He later opened a Tai Chi school in his new hometown in Huntsville, Alabama, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
