About the Book

This book is about a beautiful dream that was real for a short but wonderful time.  Just like the photographs in the text the entire book is a snapshot preserving a moment of time and the feeling of that moment.  Life is just a series of moments and mine in The Land of Green Eyes was magical.  It is also a collaboration between two artists and the merging of their respective creative forces.  Each brings something unique and special to the dream making it a much stronger entity than if presented alone.  Therefore, the poems in the book are accompanied by original artistic photographs.  Some photographs inspired the poems and some of the poems inspired the photographs.

My hope is that the reader enjoys seeing and feeling parts of this sweet dream.  I know that I loved it so much myself that I hope to one day return.

About the Author

I have a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Florida as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am currently a social worker primarily dealing with abused and neglected children. My work in this field has exposed me to both the very worst and best of human nature.

This is my third offering of poems after having published the 2005 book, Portrait of a View, and the 2006 book, The Heresy of Hearsay.

Collaborating with me on this project is photographer Jessica Lango. She too is a social worker in reference to abused and neglected children. Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida where she also studied photography. I am honored to be able to be the first to work with her on such a project.  This is her first offering of original artistic photographs and it is my pleasure to be a part of it.  I would like to dedicate this book to her with much admiration and love.
