Thinking about Easter preparations gave the Chief Easter Rabbit an idea. He sent Albert, a large bald eagle, up to the North Pole. He asked Albert to tell Eustace, the manager of Santa Claus’s crew of elves, that he wanted to meet with him.
Albert came back with Eustace perched somewhat precariously on his back. The elf seemed to have enjoyed the ride.
“I might as well come now, in October, before it gets really cold,” he told the Chief Easter Rabbit. “Yes, I’m used to snow, but I miss seeing the fall colors. Now, what is this all about, anyway?”
