About the Book

"Wake Up Sun" is written and illustrated by Katie Sharpe for children up to six years old.  Inspiration for this enjoyable book came during one of the authors many evening walks.  The darkness was a reminder of how important the sun was to our world and sparked a desire to share the moment with everyone. Colorful pictures combined with a fun and simple message, will make it a bedtime favourite of your children for many years.  

About the Author

Katie Sharpe was raised in a large family on the Canadian prairies.  Times were not easy growing up, and she moved to a larger eastern town in her mid-teens where she married and raised three children of her own.  With her children grown and raising families of their own, Katie followed a long held dream to write and illustrate children's books. A natural and gifted artist, Katie received very little formal education or training. Overcoming all her challenges, she expects that this will be the first of many inspired works.
