The place Patrick talks about is the borough of HARPURHEY MANCHESTER UK It is the story of the greatest abject poverty and squalor, if you are a male you will laugh a lot about his antics to survive, if you are a female you may weep a lot about his treatment and being branded a street urchin at such a tender young age but patrick tells all, that is when he could stop coughing from all the muck ,crap and shit that was in abundence at that time.

Patrick J. Cullen age 70 the real purpose of this book is EDUCATION EDUCATION EDUCATION this is the story of my life, my experiences as a small child the telling of the real truth of that period of time? a copy of this book is now in the imperial War Museum North at Salford Quay's and is used as a teaching aid by interactors and teachers to teach local college students,school children and the general public about the war years. copies are also registered in the BRITISH library.
