About the Author

Jill Schmidt was raised in Forest Lake, MN. She is married to Mark and together they raised 3 boys. She has spent many years teaching and learning. Jill enjoys living in Circle Pines, MN and seeing her family and students smile. Irene Olds is a self taught artist who has been creating art since childhood. Her delicate pencil portraiture have taken high honors in numerous juried shows. An award winning editorial cartoonist since 1994, Irene’s wit can be viewed in: The Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year, and her sailing cartoon “Treading Water”, which is published in Latitudes and Attitudes, Seafaring. Irene’s whimsical illustrations can be found in decorative murals, and playing across the pages of children’s books.
