“FROM MAN’S ABUSE TO THE WOMAN GOD LOOSED”

My burdens, they had me bound;

I was lost, but now I’m found.

I had a zeal of God, but I didn’t know me;

Jesus loosed me, and now I’m free.

The tears I’ve shed were because of great pain;

my mind was confused, sin had me insane.

When the church doors opened, I was often the first one in,

looking and acting holy, while living in sin.

I was hurting, and now I’m healed;

I was empty, but now I’m filled.

Angry at God and me, I didn’t feel any love,

not realizing that true love comes from above.

I had studied the Word, but didn’t know God’s plan.

I was seeking God, but trusting in man.

This was the foundation, the key to my abuse.

Within a moment, I was set free, when Jesus said:

“WOMAN, THOU ART LOOSED!”

About the Author

A “P.M.S.” SURVIVOR

Having endured many major and minor surgeries, lived through “P.M.S.” (the  Pastor’s Mistress Stronghold)  for 15 years in an emotionally-abusive relationship, encountered sexual harassment violations in the workplace, experienced racial discrimination professionally, and filed multiple bankruptcies, KAREN D. REID is definitely a survivor.   

She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Memphis (formerly known as Memphis State University), and most recently graduated from Webster University, with a Master of Arts Degree in Management and Leadership.  God-employed as a full-time author and ministry gift to the Body of Christ, Ms. Reid is a 10-year employee of a Regional Airlines, where she was the recipient of the 1^st Annual, Recognition Award – Employee of the Year, for professionalism in Customer Service.

While pursuing additional writing ventures, Ms. Reid’s immediate aspirations involve setting up a Ministers’ Retreat/Vacation Home, in Orlando, Florida.  Additional plans include establishing Transitional Housing for Daughters of Destiny (K.K.’s Extended Stay), purchasing a Destiny and Miracle’s Outreach Facility to accommodate the ministry, and launching a multi-ministry Empowerment and Conference Center.  She serves locally as a Ghost Writer, Media and Editorial Specialist, and Ministry Consultant.

Will Ms. Reid base her existence around the fact that she ends up companionless, physically fruitless, homeless at one point, and finally – motherless?  Or will death be the final exam that births her into a new dimension?  The three-part series, “From Mistress To Ministry,” is the sum total of a working project in progress – life after death. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it dies, it bringeth forth much fruit” (John 12:24).  A survivor at first, Ms. Reid ultimately becomes “more than a conqueror.”
