entranced by the idiot box
disturbing abysmal sobs
muffled in the gloaming
broken free spirits roam
the halls discarded
neglected mentalities
erode as uncontrolled
emotions administer a flow
of medications neural
damage manages to
spread as a contagion
raging neurosis no one
sees this epidemic
here in the valley
the belly of the beast.
Bête Noire
If I fall will you catch
the vision is clear
as day and night
time brings therapeutic
love for you
cure my every ill
will toward your uncooperative nature
made you the beast that you are
my demon.
