About the Author

Spirit Messages to my Mother 

   Gilda Mirós, prominent veteran of Latino radio in the USA. She was the first  Spanish radio host to conduct four hours daily via satellite, between Miami, Los Angeles and New York, and also transmitted her radio show live from Latin America and Spain. 

Mirós has had leading roles in film, theatre and television in the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico. She produced, directed and narrated documentaries, including one during the Vietnam War, and she also produced the 65 anniversary concerts of the Sonora Matancera with Celia Cruz; in NYC's Central Park and Carnegie Hall.

 Ms. Mirós was awarded "The Medal of Our Lady of Providence," by the Archdiocese of NY, and has been awarded many national and international awards. Gilda has been the Latin national spokesperson for the "March of Dimes," and "The Eye Bank" of NYC. Ms Miros currently dubs into Spanish "Mother Angelica Live," for EWTN Globally; and she has also narrated audio guides for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

Miros launched her first book "Celia Cruz, The Sonora Matancera.” in July of 2003, "Portrait of Puerto Rico” in August of 2005. "Hortense and her Happy Duckling," a wash your hands bilingual children's book, in July of 2006. "Memorias de los Espíritus y Mi Madre” was released in October, 2008.
