About the Book

Is it possible for a 100 year old curse to be given with such anger and evil that it would cause a mountain top God-fearing family to be sent to their demise one by one until there was only one man left? The one who had buried his kin with sadness and disbelief? Is the curse now living in his cabin with him and his newly adopted family?

Was it invited in and welcomed with open arms or had the evil plotted and planned its way to Raven Hill through the eye of the bird? Who would be the next sleeping in the cemetery? Or would personal greed and impatience prove to be evil’s weakness and death. And if the curse dies, will it later resurface in the face of an angel?

About the Author

Sue Hankinson grew up in a rural section of Northwest New Jersey, when there were still many small farms and remote camps, and people were free to live their lives as they saw fit. Her forebears were of diverse heritage – Scotch, Irish, Jewish, and American Indian to name a few.

The stories and folklore she heard from her Indian grandfather and aunts and uncles and other assorted Eastern European friends and relatives have given her a treasure trove of story ideas.

Sue’s writing is only as gory or risqué as you imagine it to be. Because of her faith in God, she will not write anything unfit for even young children. Her style is easy to read and her word pictures put you right in the center of the story.

Her first novel, Aunt Daisy Knows, received an excellent review from the Carlisle Mercury Press. Both it and Feathers In the Blood are sure to hold your attention. Once you pick either one up, forget about whatever else you had planned for the afternoon.
