About the Author
The Rev. Dr. Samson Gitau has served for ten years as the director of college ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee, establishing college ministry programs at the University of Memphis, Rhodes College, Christian Brothers University and LeMoyne-Owen College. Dr. Gitau is an Anglican priest currently ministering with small churches in the Memphis area. Dr. Gitau is also adjunct professor of religion at the University of Memphis where he teaches a variety of courses on comparative religion, including: Hebrew and Greek legacy, Religions of Abraham and Clash of Cultures. A native of Kenya, the author graduated from St. Paul’s United Theological Seminary, Limuru, Kenya, Yale Divinity School, and holds a Ph.D. degree from Boston University. Some of Dr. Gitau’s publications include: One Boat One Destiny, A Study in the Book of Jonah; Under the Wings, Reflections in the Book of Ruth; Breaking the Shackles: Contemporary Perspectives in Paul’s Letter to the Galatians; in addition to many other articles on religion and contemporary society.
