The greatest revelation that I gained on the night when the Lord began speaking was that He was very real. He became alive to me! Of course, I always knew that Jesus was alive, but on this night He revealed himself in a way that I had never known. He suddenly had a personality. He had a sense of humor that went beyond my imagination. I heard him laugh as He spoke. I could tell when He was serious and when He was lighthearted. I heard him speak like a real person. I know these things may seem strange to someone that has never heard His voice but, this is what impressed me the most. He was a real person, with a real personality. This awareness alone was quite exhilarating. I felt like I did when I first got saved. I had that abrupt awareness of Him then, but this time it was increasingly so.
John 15:26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: I now had another part of Him. I had His voice. He was actually speaking to give me specific direction and clearer purpose for my life. He allowed me to know what He thought about things. All of these elements were extremely meaningful to me. Hearing His voice stood me on my feet and placed me at attention. Even though I thought people would think I was crazy, I was willing to risk it. I was willing to move forward in this new understanding that God was giving me. This is how much the first night inspired me. I knew after my ten year walk with Jesus that this was something special and I knew it was monumental. I had not been called into the ministry until then, but I had moved in intercession for ten years. I spent a lot of time praying. I really felt like I knew the Lord. I spent hours and hours before Him, crying out for others. I praised Him with all of my heart and loved Him with all of my heart. All of this and yet on this night I felt like I had just met the one I loved. I wasn't going to let that go. So, I began my time with getting to know Him.

About the Book
This book is a personal testimony of a Christian woman that began to hear the Lord speak by His Holy Spirit. While she was driving in her car one night she was surprised by the Holy Spirit and was surprised by the clarity in which she could hear His voice. The book tells about her thrilling adventures as He taught her to hear Him with great clarity. He set her on a path of journaling His words and showed her what He desired in a relationship. He began taking her on many adventures and teaching her by way of the Holy Spirit through many visions. The Lord taught her about His ways and His kingdom. He taught her of the love He had for people. What's more, He taught her to pray by the revelation of the Holy Spirit. The book is, in part, a study on what the Bible says about God speaking. It also describes a God that still wants to communicate just as he did in many scriptural accounts. It encourages the body of Christ to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church.
About the Author
Shirley Hall has been an educator in the public school system for over twenty years. She is married and has three grown children. She has a heart for woman and has ministered many years to women in solitary confinement in a correctional institute. She is an intercessor and has received much of her revelation from the Lord through journaling and from dreams and visions. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit she authored “Jesus” The Same Yesterday, Today & For Ever, and has written several children's books.
