About the Book
This book challenges the leaders of industry, or any organization that values its people, to show an attitude of caring. Examples of both right and wrong ways of treating employees are given. The current ruthless “top-down” philosophy of management has made employees less than satisfied in the workplace. Encouragement of workers can be an important ingredient in building trust in management. The so called “elitist society” due to the extreme pay gap between CEOs and daily laborers continues to promote the lack of trust and a lack of compassion. Further, the gap between Union leaders and their constituents has widened.
