The Drive Her voice made his heart beat heavy, and his stomach filled with butterflies. It had been so long since he had heard her say his name, but he could remember it like it was yesterday. The thought of her brought a smile to his face and a strong yearning to his heart. “Samia,” he whispered in a passionate tone. “Sweet Samia, I wonder what you are doing?”H is heart was filled with passion and felt heavy and drawn to his thoughts of her. All he wanted to do was hear her say his name one more time. He continued to drive, checking his mirror. It was going to be a long ride, but it was a very important trip -- a trip he made every year for the past five years. He usually just got on a plane, but not this time, this time he needed this drive, he wanted this drive! As he drove down the long road, he checked his front mirror. Hmmmm, “I remember when,” he said, then laughed; he now saw in the mirror a gray-haired man with a full beard. He saw small lines in the corner of his eyes. He touched them as if they weren't real, then he pulled on his pepper sprinkled beard. “I'm still handsome,” he whispered with a smile in the corner of his mouth.
Muslimocaust: Safwa sat on the side watching us with tears running down her face. She reminded me of when she was little, and her cat Oliver had got hit by a car. She just sat in the corner crying, for hours. This wasn't the same as loosing your cat, but I knew that cry, that look she had on her face, it was a mix of pain and helplessness, and all I wanted to do was get my baby sister home. The nurse had given me clothes to change into, so I went to the rest room and changed, Safwa came with me. I didn't say anything to her I just let her come; no one wanted to be left alone at any point and time. We were very scared, and unsure of every moment. I changed my clothes quickly and told Jamila it was time to go. Jamila said, “I can't leave Asiya here.” I said, “Listen we have to keep moving, there is nothing we can do right now but find our families.”“Asiya is my family!” Jamila, shouted. “I understand but Asiya is with Allah, and we are here, it is not safe here so we need to go.” I said. “You wouldn't leave Safwa!” Jamila shouted at me. I got angry, and walked towards Jamila screaming, “I know you...I know you are not...” I said, getting choked up. My eyes began to swell with tears, but I was fighting them back. “I left Safwan, I left him, I love him and I left him” I said. Safwa, and Jamila stared at me, they didn't say anything. I reached down with tears streaming down my face and picked up a bag of snacks the nurse gave us and quickly walked toward the door to leave. There was nothing left to be said, Jamila could either stay or she could go, I wasn't talking about it any more. I just walked, and walked, after some time I could feel them both close behind me, but I never looked back and I didn't say a word. There was too much pain in their eyes, and I couldn't promise them the safety I wished I could give them. My guilt of leaving Safwan would stay with me forever, and I didn't want to think about it. I needed a clear head, and to get us through to the next spot... where ever that would be.

"The Unveiled” is a compilation of riveting stories laced with suspense, and the will to survive. In these stories you will find Courage, Faith, and the ability to go up against amazing odds. The characters could easily be you, or some one you know personally. These characters search for the very thing we all search for Courage, Love, Hope, and forgiveness. Have you ever searched for redemption in the eyes of some one you loved? Many of us have in some of these stories, some well find forgiveness by first learning to forgive them selves. Also the ability to love and find peace, Many of these character find peace in the mist of chaos, loss, and tragedy.
Naimah is filled with pain and grief, her pain is the type of pain that tares away at your very soul. So she is struggling with her faith, and belief that she will get over what troubles her deeply. So she falls to her knees, crying out to God, searching for a sign. The question is “Does God, send her that sign? Does He alleviate her pains?”
Aliya has been put in a position of leadership in a time of great fear, hate, and war. While searching for her family, Aliya struggles with the responsibility of getting others to safety. Aliya has to rely on her Faith in God, to persevere during these times of War. Aliya doesn't know what is waiting for them at the end of the tunnel but she hopes that these sewers, ultimately leads to freedom.
Three young men grow up in the street, as they struggle to keep their brother hood close. Some times fear and loss can destroy the strongest of bonds and sometimes a simple thing as love and Forgiveness can bring it all home.
About the Author
She is the Mother of 6 beautiful children, and she went to College for Early childhood Education. She became a teacher, and Mentor too many young girls, and she worked in schools, to Detention Center for your girls ages 12-18. She enjoyed her work tremendously, while balancing her life as a single mother.
After many years of people telling her she couldn't fulfill her dreams while working and raising 6 children alone. She empowered herself to do just that, turning all the No's in life to Yes's, making a dream that seemed Impossible, POSSIBLE!

That is the Moto, she lives by daily, and encourages others to do the same. Today she is a Teacher, Mentor, Poetess, and writer. She writes to inspire, and empower others. Her riveting stories of faith, hope, love, and Empowerment are very compelling, and astounding.
She realistically narrates stories that depict the lives of Muslims in America, in the times of crisis, love, Fear, Death, and Chaos. She draws her readers in with her eloquent style, charisma, and deep insight to Muslims in Americas lives.
