A seventh grade girl hugged a boy in the 5th grade. Then she tried to drag him into the woods, where she bit the boy on the neck. The mom swore that there were bite marks on her son’s neck, but the school district denies any such thing. Later in the article a spokesperson from the school admitted that there were a couple of little marks that might be from the girls teeth. Great, teenage vampires… Other people called in to the newspaper, claiming that two other boys had been lured into the woods. Some say that their pets are missing, or are afraid to go outside at night. The school district says they are investigating and cooperating with the Mayor. That’s when other comments appeared on the newspaper blog: “Trust me, I work with people from Lake Stevens, and they are afraid. There are definitely Vampires in Lake Stevens” “This is inside information, folks, and this thing starts with the Mayor and works throughout the city council. Eventually, it involves those prudes from the local homeowners associations, too” “I approached a city councilman and told him about what I had found out about the Vampires. He looked at me and said, no kidding, he said ‘You can’t suck blood from a turnip…but then, I’m not dealing with a turnip now, am I?’ and locked eyes with me! I’ll tell you, I got out of city hall quickly and locked my doors when I got home!” Ever since that “Twilight” book came out about Vampires in Washington, I expected to see articles like this, but this was the first I’d seen. In my mind, that gave it a little credibility! Working with the undead community of ghost hunters and paranormal investigators, I knew that there were “vampire friendly” clubs and bars. I always thought the people there were “vampire wannabe’s” or just kids who like to dress up in Gothic dress. I’d bump into them near the University District where they’d hang out in the Gargoyle Gift Shop. This shop sold lots of “dark” stuff from ceramic figurines of wolves, fairies and vampires. They also sell lots of undead things, such as skulls, coffins and their own clothing line. They even sell vampire teeth that are very realistic, not the dime store Halloween variety. On Saturday’s they custom fit fangs for the more serious and more affluent students. The posers, those kids who pretend to be vampires, like that sort of thing.

About the Book
Something is killing the citizens of Seattle by forcing them to take their own lives. Maxwell Jackson is engaged by the Seattle Police Department to help solve who is controlling these people and making them commit suicide. And who knows more about investigating the dead than a Ghost Hunter? Max usually helps the spirits cross over to the other side, but now the police want him to close the cases for them. And they think the suicides are the result of some sort of ceremony being performed by the local vampires!
About the Author
Joe Teeples has been investigating the paranormal for over thirty years. As an officer of one of Seattles largest and most professional ghost hunting organizatons he has gotten into locations and situations that few have been able to experience. He's seen some pretty strange things involving both the living and the dead. His investigations into what happens at death include near death experiences, out of body experiences and communication with the dead. Then he bumped into some who simply won't die. Peeling away at the normal every fabric of life reveals a shadowy world of vampires, witches, werewolves and all sorts of creatures that haunt the night. Creatures that most people consider to be a fairy tale... or a nightmare. As he continues his paranormal research Joe is constantly reminded that the world is not as it appears to be. Joe lives in Seattle with his very understanding wife. They enjoy visiting the Emerald City's unique locations and always discover somemething new when they visit an old haunt. There are interesting tales to be told about the locations such as Seattle's Underground or the Pike Market. And once in a while, Joe will point to one of the clubs and mention to his wife..."That's a vampire friendly club..."
