“Mom, I think a man is sick,” declared Becky. “If someone is sick, I’m sure the stewardess will take care of him, Honey,” replied Grace. “Mom, his face is turning redder and redder.” “Here comes the stewardess now. They’ll take care of it.” Becky kept looking. Bobby knelt up and joined her. What they saw gave them both the chills. Bobby couldn’t stop staring as Becky leaned down toward Grace and whispered in her ear. “Can I go and help him, please? I think something is really wrong. His face is starting to turn purple.” Grace leaned out and twisted around to see for herself. The stewardess was now standing beside him. At the same time she was waving to the other stewardess to bring something. Becky was right though. His face was now turning blue. “He must be suffering from a heart attack,” she thought. “All that turbulence must have brought it on. If he’s turning blue now though, they will never help him in time. My God, what should I do? We are supposed to be lying low, but if he dies in front of the kids, how could I ever live with it?” Grace was being pulled apart in her thoughts. “What do I do? Oh, God, what do I do? Whatever it is it has to be right now.” “Please, Mom, please,” came Becky’s now frantic whisper. “He’s getting purpler,” Becky pleaded as her eyes started to fill with tears. Grace finally relented. “Okay, but pull your hat down on your head so no one can recognize you and if you touch him, just wish in your head for him to get better. Don’t say it out loud so anyone else can hear you and be quick about it. Maybe in the confusion no one will know what’s happening.” “Okay, I will,” Becky replied as she wiped away her tears with the back of her hand and pulled her hat down. She then crawled over Bobby’s heels and Grace’s lap and made her way toward the man. When she got there she bumped into the stewardess who was leaning over him. The stewardess turned and looked down as the other stewardess came down the aisle with some type of box. “Little girl, you are going to have to take your seat. This man is sick and I am helping him. If you need something, I’ll help you as soon as he is taken care of.” Becky thought for a second then replied, “I have to go pee, but I wanted to see if the man was okay on my way by.” As she said this, she quickly reached in and grabbed one finger of the man’s left hand, which was lying on his lap. In her head she quietly wished, “I hope you get all better.” The man had an immediate reaction. He experienced something that felt like an electric shock traveling up his arm, then down through his shoulder and burst through to his heart. The pain in his chest ceased immediately. The heaviness in his chest lessened and his face started turning from a once deep purple to a light shade of red. The man gazed down through glassy eyes and stared directly into a smiling face with big dimples and blue eyes twinkling back at him from underneath a weird looking hat. He was confused with whatever it was that just happened.

About the Author
Daniel Sullivan was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts in 1943 and grew up there. After graduating from high school he immediately joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served at life boat stations as well as at sea on the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Casco Bay. During his travels in the Guard, he visited many ports stretching from Newfoundland to Rio de Janeiro. After completing his service commitment, Dan joined New England Tel and eventually retired from the company, now named Verizon. While enrolled in night courses at Newbury College Dan's urge to write re-surfanced. This story is the second in a series. The first was a fiction book published in 2008, titled THE PRINCESS IS COMING. This new story follows the trials and tribulations of the same lovable character, but in a completely different setting.
