About the Author

Jo L. is a born-writer who gives awakening experience to readers. She strives to stir her readers with vivid characters and eye-opening views of the world and provokes us by telling her stories in simple, direct, and yet unexpected manner, straight from her heart. Her writing is as open and candid as any fiction can be, but also intriguingly mysterious and dark with minimal descriptions that leave readers to wonder and reflect their own imaginations. She weaves moving and inspirational melodies to our ears but also is not afraid to pound our hearts with the harsh truth of the reality we have to face everyday. Her powerful writing style definitely draws readers to an unique experience that is even toxic for us to crave for more. Although Jo L. has a long history in dramatic writing, A Fly is her first novel, and in this her debut piece, she grabs readers in her usual unique and compelling writing style and exploits more of her poetic and philosophical sides for her readers to enjoy. Jo L. holds a MFA from NYU and currently lives in Los Angeles.
