Spoiled Rotten Day

Spoiled Rotten Day is a special occasion in the lives of a grandfather and his four grandchildren.It is also a story, one that renews itself each time he or they travel the several hundred miles to be with each other. The book's charming illustrations, captured by photographer Carol Mosolygo, record a "Spoiled rotten day" a number of years ago when his oldest twin grandsons, Soren and Skyler, were five years old. It was also the year they announced they were going to start awarding their grandfather his own spoiled rotten day and that they wished every child had one.

Kenan Heise, an author or co-author of 25 books, is a retired reporter for the Chicago Tribune, a poet and playwright.

He is the grandfather of three grandsons and one granddaughter. His affection for them has resulted in a unique connection, which he and they call "Spoiled Rotten Day."

Kenan is a resident of Evanston, Illinois and considers his greatest accomplishment the love which he has for books and which he has shared with his spouse, Carol, three sons, Tiger, Dan & Ben; and four grandchildren, Skyler, Soren, Julian and Adeline.
