About the book – Like a little child Every word of Jesus Christ is true and infallible. In fact, heaven and earth can pass away but not a jot or a tittle of His word can go unfulfilled (Matt. 24:35). When He whose every word is true, therefore, says, “I tell you the truth”, then what He is about to say should be noted with every sense of seriousness. In Mark 10:15 Jesus declared: “I tell you the truth, anyone who does not receive the kingdom like a little child will never enter it.” He said “anyone” which implies “whosoever”, without exceptions. Jesus is no respecter of persons (Col. 3:25), neither is there favouritism with Him (Rom. 2:11). If He says, “whosoever” He means “whosoever” – “everyone”. In His words, “anyone who does not receive the kingdom like a little child will never enter it”. This is serious! Whoever dreams of entering the kingdom of God , therefore, must pay attention. The one who is the gate to the kingdom (Jn. 10:7, 9) prescribes the condition for entering it. There can be no alternative. Whether you are great or small, rich or poor, if your dream is to enter the kingdom of God , you must receive the kingdom like a little child. Anything short of this precludes you from entering. Note that Jesus said, “will never enter.” The word “never” depicts impossibility. “Will never enter” therefore means that the person “will at no time and on no occasion enter”. The use of the word “never” shows that the condition is eternal and cannot change. It shows that nothing can change it. It is then a great mistake for anybody to think otherwise. Ever since Jesus gave the condition for entering the kingdom of God , about 2000 years ago, the same condition still prevails. The best anyone who desires to enter the kingdom can do for himself is to abide by it. There is no alternative. In Matthew 18:3, Jesus simply stated the condition thus: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” He also said to his disciples, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14). That is the subject of the book, Like a little child. It seeks to answer the questions: How does one receive the kingdom like a little child? How does one change and become like little children? What does it mean that the kingdom of God belongs to such as little children? The author has given down-to-earth explanations to these issues spiced with simple, captivating, and amazing real life examples. Everyone, therefore, who desires to enter the kingdom of God, is earnestly advised to read this book

About the Author Gregory C. Nnaji is a committed Christian. He is married to Ifeoma and they are blessed with four children: Chidubem, Somto, Precious, and Ugo. He is a gifted writer and preacher of the word of God. He is also the author of Fresh Spring. Gregory, an economist, is a Fellow of the African Institute for Applied Economics (AIAE) and formerly the MD/CEO of Bethel Microfinance Bank Limited in Enugu, Nigeria.
