I’d always thought I had a terrible life thinking if I didn’t get my way that my parents hated me, or whenever I screwed up and got in trouble but now, I know that my life is a nightmare. Darkness had consumed me, was I dead? The last thing I could remember was Strix telling me not to die. Had I slipped under, into the darkness called death? Did I not get a light at the end of my tunnel? After all I’d done I deserved a light at the end of my tunnel didn’t I? Well maybe I didn’t. I hadn’t done that much, only finding out I was the child of some prophecy, forcing me along a path I definitely didn’t want to travel. Some might think what’s so bad about a stupid prophecy? Well this prophecy was different; it says that when I turn fifteen I have to save the world in its darkest hour. But was I going to get that chance? Suddenly, I was swept out of the darkness, a blank emptiness filled part of my mind. What happened? Why do I suddenly remember nothing? Is whatever I forgot important?

About the Book
Destiny, a twelve year old girl, enters into the 7th grade with no real memories of her past. Strange occurrences take place and she soon realizes that her memories were kept from her. Once her memories are restored she resumes her normal role of being the Prophecy Child. There are more twists of fate and Destiny finds herself alone. Her guardians appear to protect her, along with a boy named Thorne. After many battles and losses Destiny finds herself in a position that could threaten her life again. Could this really be the end this time?

Raquel is a thirteen year old writer who has always enjoyed the arts. She likes to write books that grab your attention and will keep you wondering what will happen next. She was born in San Antonio Texas and currently resides in the Austin area. Her goal is to become a pediatrics surgeon. Raquel is a young lady that sets goals and sets out to accomplish them.
