Soon, a shadowy figure appeared, walking steadily towards the group. Not one of them dared to move or even breathe. From the short distance where they were from whoever or whatever was coming, they could make out a dark shape. It looked like a monster! Whatever was coming had a huge body with a humped back from which long skinny legs protruded. As the creature came closer, they could make out a face covered in hair. Hair also hung down from the head which was covered by a wide brimmed hat that was tall and rounded at the top. As it walked by, they all realized it could be no other than…Alabama Black himself, walking into the faintly lit clearing in front of the house.

About the Book
While staying in Alabama, Cocoa and her friends Dee Jay, Eboney and Maranda, are told a horrible tale by her cousin Baker, about a man called "Alabama Black." The group, led by cousin Cooter decide to go see for themselves if the rumors are true. They get much more than they expected when they are discovered by Alabama Black himself!,
About the Author
Anthony Molock is a lifelong elementary school educator, having taught in the Camden City, NJ and Atlanta, GA Public School Systems for over thirty years. “Cocoa Pelou Meets Alabama Black” is his fourth book and second children’s book in a series of adventures following the title character. His other works include, “A View from the Other Side,” Watermark Press, 2001, and a biography of blind boxer, Gypsy Joe Harris, (his brother), in “Gypsy Joe Harris: Son of Philadelphia,” Author House, 2006. Anthony resides in Fayetteville, Ga.
