In this book Guy Savoy’s multi-generational leadership style is viewed through the lens of contemporary leadership philosophy, organizational development concepts, and the rich tradition of French Gastronomy.
About the Author
Dr. Maier’s resides in the Pacific Northwest, USA. He has extensive corporate hospitality industry experience, in concert with his research, has contributed to successful development and delivery of both domestic and international undergraduate and graduate courses in hospitality, service leadership and innovation. Dr. Maier has a Phd in Leadership Philosophy and a Masters degree in Human Development/International Relations. He has traveled extensively around the world covering Middle Eastern, European, and Asian continents conducting research and speaking on contemporary leadership theory. He has been successful in producing several refereed scholarly publications. His published journal articles have appeared in hospitality’s top refereed journals. The focus of Dr. Maier’s research falls into two distinct categories: (1) hospitality multi-generational leadership, and (2) revenue optimization & analytics. Additionally, he has co-authored textbook(s), Welcome to Hospitality: An Introduction- 3rd Edition and is the author of the forthcoming: Hospitality Leadership Lessons in French Gastronomy. Dr. Maier has been invited to speak and present at several domestic and international conferences regarding multi-generational leadership and hospitality, including the UNWTO-Themis foundation and China Tourism Forums. He is Executive Director of the Revenue Management Institute at DePaul University, Chicago USA and currently is serving as Editorial board member for the International Journal of Revenue Management.
