For Example: Between the year 1800 and the year 1927 the World’s population increased from 1 billion to 2 billion. This increase occurred in just 127 years. But the next increase from 1927 to just 1960 a third billion increase took place raising the total to 3 billion. This increase only took 33 years. From 1960 to 1974 a fourth increase to 4 billion occurred. This only spanned a mere 14 years. It is very evident that the progressive was accelerating. From 1974 to 1987, a mere 13 years, the increase to 5 billion occurred. From 1987 to 1999, in a mere 12 years the increase to 6 billion occurred. And finally from 1999 to 2011, again in a span of only 12 years the increase to 7 billion occurred. It is painfully obvious that if this increase continues, or in fact accelerates, Big Trouble Lurks in the Wings. If, at the present the Countries of the World are struggling to feed their people, what will it be like in the future? Over Population inevitably leads to starvation, disease and social unrest on a grand scale. The World Leaders have been only too aware of the problem but there seems to be that there isn’t any solution. Like a herd of buffalo fleeing from the flames of a wind driven grass fire, they figuratively refuse to find a solution to the problem before hurtling over the cliff. The Cliff may not be that far off!!
