Proceed In Faith If a storm comes in with winds blowing hard And the Lord’s voice gets difficult to hear Remain strong, stay focused, keep up your guard Don’t let it get you in a state of fear A bolt of lightning may strike near your feet And thunder may roar throughout your ears But one step back could trigger a retreat A submission to doubt, to hurt, and fears So you must stand strong with all that you know And you know that God says not to doubt His word When the going gets tough, God doesn’t go So be at peace, calm, not easily stirred What is it that God’s word says gives us victory? Written in 1 JOHN Chapter 5 Verse 4 It’s faith, by faith one steps out onto the sea Leaves the boat, walks and/or runs to the shore Faith can move mountains and faith can calm storms With faith there is nothing impossible Faith pleases God and it always performs For the righteously responsible Jesus has overcome the storms of life And by faith in Him we’ve overcome too So if lightning strikes and you’re faced with strife Don’t worry, go forward, God is with you -Calvin W. About the Book
A storm comes in and the easy flow of life is disrupted. Suddenly you find yourself in a tough circumstance that challenges your endurance. How will you react? Will you fold under the pressure, complain and be distraught? Or will you smile? Understanding that your faith is being tried by a loving God that wants to make you a stronger person? The tests of life can be tough. But it is through these tests that God strengthens our faith. Shadows Over February is the third volume of poetry by author Calvin W. Allison. The book’s theme is on trials and tests. It’s intended to encourage the reader to grow in their faith and to go forward no matter what comes against them. Calvin considers it a great privilege to make this book available to the public and especially to the Church of Jesus Christ.
About the Author
Calvin W. Allison was once a man who lived life in a careless and reckless way. On the night of February 7 1999 something happened that set him on a journey that would lead him into an everlasting relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ. Calvin has four books out. Joan, A Sunset Rising, A Peace in the Spirit, and Shadows Over February. His powerful Testimony is included in the book, A Sunset Rising.
