Morning The morning sun peers under my window pane. Gently touching my eyelids, nudging me to rise. Warmth engulfs my body saturating me with kindness. As I roll over to touch the coolness of the bare floor I shiver. Grabbing my robe I bounce into the kitchen. The smell of homemade biscuits and fried cured bacon entice my nostrils and dangle in my empty stomach. The sound of gospel music fills my ears. Momma is whispering the words and sometimes sings offbeat. At that moment I feel complete. Completely loved and completely protected. I am whole basking in the newness of the morning. Swaying to the sounds of the music, I eat like I have never been fed. And as the sun peers through the kitchen I catch the softness of its rays. Morning preparing me for the day.

The original, branded with the mark of the Father. Staying positive in a world that is full of negativity is sometimes hard to do. In this book I try to capture goodness. Glimpses of light reflect through the pages. Singing notes of cheer and hope. Playing music, jumping from the pages, that soothes the soul. I found myself and long to share with others the gift of encouragement, motivation, and inspiration. Being able to express yourself is a feat of itself. Taking hold of words that express and embody life is my passion. “My Pen is Singing” gives a look at my view of pressing forward. Be uplifted.
About the Author
I have always loved writing and have been writing for the past 25+ years. But, I married straight out of high school and the reality of marriage and caring for my children set in. Writing had to take a back seat to raising my family. Now that my kids are grown, I am at a different place and can devote my spare time to my passion, writing. I write to release stress and just because I love to do it. I sit and take out my pen or my computer and I am amazed at how the words flow. I believe that we all have a gift and calling in this world and of course I believe writing is my gift. I want to share my gift with others. My first book, “Looking up Poetry and Quotes”, was a great experience. I have learned a lot since its publication. I believe that this book, “My Pen is Singing”, will give joy and pleasure to the readers. I put my heart into it. I hope you enjoy it.
