Quincy Stone took off on a trip that he had looked forward to for a very long time He was single and he worked at every possible until he was able to pay for just the right horse … a stud brilliant, shiny, black quarter horse, his saddle was special too, a matching black one with gorgeous Mexican conchos attached to it. As he worked his way westward across the plains states, eating dust and looking for water and his horse, he wondered if he had (mad made) a bad decision, but he kept plodding on. He stopped at every town and village and that’s where his kind of excitement was found. My reader’s (reader’s) readers will get emotionally involved as they pour over the words as I was when I wrote them. Enjoy.

About the Book
Quincy Stone was as rough as they come and he was a real trouble maker from the time he was young enough to walk. Even though he got into fights every day, his main interest was pistols. As soon as he could be on his own, he started out on what turned out to be a grueling trip alone. He found what he was looking for at every stop … just what he wanted. You will enjoy travelling along with him and maybe, just maybe, you will wish you had been with him.
About the Author
My sister was born in 1931 and I came along in 1935. We were both born at home, a modest, well-maintained, and wood-framed home rather than in the Eastland hospital, ten miles away, where my young younger brother was later born in 1941. Thankfully, our home was not affected in any way when an angry, raging flood occurred when the Colorado River Bridge was destroyed.
During the past few years have I often thought that I had a God-given talent for expressing the content of a fictional book using “word pictures”, which make for more interesting reading for a person. This is an attempt to complete that goal. I think that you will find it an easy and interesting read and not boring or all that long.
