About the Book
I’m My Own Best Friend – The Tale of the Skunk and the Porcupine is the author’s third children’s book and tells the tale of two uniquely different critters that form a special bond. This rhyming children’s picture book begins as a sad and smelly skunk is alone and feeling sorry for himself. Then to his surprise he meets a very outspoken porcupine that also has the same feelings. These two very different animals become forever friends in a story that will warm your heart.
About the Author
Staci Capehart was born in the small town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the heart of the Ohio Valley. Throughout her life, the author has lived in many different parts of the United States, including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Willingboro, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Charleston, South Carolina and Dallas, Texas. Staci went to elementary school in Willingboro, Point Pleasant, and Atlanta. She gained her higher education in Baton Rouge. During her years in Georgia and Louisiana she began to write, but also made time for piano lessons and drum lessons. Staci has written many stories and poems that have entertained her family since she was a little girl. She continued writing throughout the years and continues to do so, as an adult, to the delight of family and friends. Staci has resided in the Dallas, Texas area for the past twenty-six years. She has a successful career in the hospitality industry and even though she has a busy work schedule, she has always made time to continue her writing. Staci has always had a vivid and colorful imagination, and now that talent is being put into print for all to enjoy.
