Diva loved her little hole in her neck which is called a trachea. She could finally breathe easily. The surgeon shaved her hair again and made the breathing hole permanent. Diva could breathe so much better! She no longer struggled. Diva had to stay in the hospital for a few days. Grace went to visit everyday. She missed Diva so much and cried a few times because she was happy to see her little hero. She missed Diva so much. She had known since she received Diva she was extremely special. Grace learned how to clean Diva’s trachea during the healing stage and never left Diva’s side. Diva healed. She has a trachea that she breathes through. She also has a pace maker to ensure her heart beats as many times as it should. Diva does everything she wants to and enjoys life! She is healthier than before! Grace knew when she received Diva she was very special and would always be a hero.

About the Author
To the Parent, Guardian or teacher reading this book to your very special child or children, I was inspired to write a book in particular a children’s book when my Pug, Diva was called “special needs.” Diva’s spirit and soul is simply beautiful. She is made up of love and exudes love where ever she goes and gives love to whomever she comes in contact with. Diva’s journey through life has experienced health issues but none affect whom she is and the love she contributes to the world. My hope is that this book is read to a child that is special, very special. My motive and intent is that he or she is educated and influenced to embrace their individuality he or she brings to this huge world. My dream is that he or she believes and accepts that a Higher Power has created him or her to be special, very special. My ultimate dream is that he or she carries that message throughout his or her entire life and shares, spreads and changes a life with that message. About Diva The Pug: Diva resides in White Plains, NY with her Mom, Jill K. Diva has the best life possible and is surrounded by love. Diva’s sole purpose in life is to bring unconditional love to every person she comes in contact with. In addition, with everything she has been through...her journey is meant to educate, inform, assist with acceptance of any medical challenge in animals and children and to change lives for the better.
