About the Book
I am happy to present to you this wide array of poetry. There is deep meaning in these poems, and you may have to read them twice to see the hidden messages. Poems such as “White Rabbit,” “It’s Not Enough,” and “Trout Killer” shows us how certain circumstances in life leave a lasting impression. Poems such as “Coomba,” and “Dorothy and Irene” paint a picture of a life that was at one time reality. The courage of these women should never be forgotten. Poems can come from anywhere, and one day, as I sat looking at a bowl of peaches, I thought of the poem “Drupe.” It is whimsical and gives you a glimpse into the mind of a young teenager. I hope these poems make you think, feel, and enjoy the world that is at your hands. One should just take time to see what is before our eyes. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful planet to live on.
About the Author
Nadia Pace lives in Halifax and enjoys writing. She is inspired by nature and characters that she sees in her day-to-day life. If you would like to comment on her poems, send her an e-mail at nadpal@gmail.com. Nadia feels poetry is an endless task that separates you from the real world. Poetry requires your heart, mind, and soul. Without the love and support of family and friends, a poet could never keep the two worlds at peace. I dedicate these poems to my husband, Paul, my mother, Susan Pace, to Michael, Melanie, Stephane, and Whitney, you are forever in my thoughts. The cover photo was taken by my husband, Paul Côté. Paul has taken numerous pictures of scenes around Nova Scotia. Paul shows just how much he loves his work by turning out perfection in startling pictures. He enjoys all aspects of photography and cannot wait to take his next shot.
