About the Book

This is my story of the lovely A’maresh. She comes to our world from the farthest shore of the celestial sea through an accident in space. She has extraordinary powers that she uses to serve our race as one of the village seers. She meets and falls in love with a man from our planet, Man Do Lin. Many are the adventures that they share. They marry and have a daughter, As’gareth, whom they raise to young adulthood. Through a great sacrifice, A’maresh saves As’gareth from the harm of Pan Do Rae, the evil village seer. There are people of wisdom who masquerade as good but actually harbor thoughts to rule rather than serve others who do not have their mental powers. You will no doubt cheer the good people and pity the evil ones. This is a book of science fiction written as an epic poem.

About the Author

Allen McNair is an author of science fiction written as an epic poem. This work has been in progress since 1992 and has seen many revisions to bring the story of A’maresh to wider audiences. Allen is currently enrolled in an online course for a master’s of Vedic science. He was born August 18, 1951, in Highland Park, Michigan. He is a graduate of fine arts from Columbia College–Chicago in 1990. His homeless experience in that year prepared him to devote himself to the creative pursuit of writing about that condition in the genre of poetry. “I Dream of A’maresh” was inspired by a dream he had in 1965. It tells the tale of a woman, A’maresh, who came to our world and fell in love with a man from earth. They had a daughter, As’gareth, and her mother sacrificed herself to heal her from a deadly disease.
