It Was a Normal Day is precisely what the book is about from an adult’s and child’s perspective! It sets the path of waking of a dawn to the ending of a night through the eyes of a parent/carer/guardian to what a child’s needs and how important the simple things in life are! Going to School with Cramped Toes tells the story of a little girl whose parents are quite self-centered and on benefits. She doesn’t really fit into the “norm” at school, and everyone notices how “poor” she is. She is very overwhelmed and quiet until a special moment occurs that shows her that she, after all, is very important!
