AnnMarieSpencer An interesting book. In some cultures, and traditions, butterflies are believed to represent the souls of departed loved ones. They also represent a transformation from a physical to a spiritual life. I learned about the four specific stages of the butterfly's life. The life span is very short, depending on the type of butterfly. It is generally about 30 days. The photos are excellent, depicting numerous different kinds of butterflies. This book is well written and very informative for children of all ages. Would make a wonderful present for children or grandchildren.
