About the Book
The Way that You Love me is a story about two people whose lives are set on a collision course for destiny. The story begins with a carjacking which is the introduction into the story as the two main characters are thrown into the action. The woman character is new to town having run away from two bad situations a cheating fiancé and an abusive mother who made her home life unbearable. She is broke, weary and homeless by the time she gets to town. She was hopeful of a new beginning but no sooner had she got into town things start to unravel and her life is met with tragedy. The main male character comes from wealthy roots. He never knew the pain of struggle, but he contemplates the void in his life that seems to be steadily growing. Although he is a heartthrob the emptiness he feels seems to grow to the point where none of his successes bring him much joy. The moment he meets the victim in the hospital he feels a spark, a pull, as his curiosity grows. The diversity of the two lives becomes evident as well as exhibiting the turmoil which is a product of jealousy, abuse and hidden secrets. The impromptu friendship that develops between the main female character and three women is so much different from the one she shares with her biological sisters. The other aspect of this story is the great talent that is showcased by the two main characters. The effort of the female character to avoid her feelings for the main male character introduces her to a person who is deeply involved with the criminal world. The abuse she suffers at the hands of this man becomes the norm until things take a turn for the worst. Her only way out of this very bad choice is almost by death.
About the Author
C.E. Knight loves creating excitement for her characters. The ups and downs of a story is part of her primary focus, as the action builds on the fact that love and happiness will win in the end. She would like to be the type of writer who can tackle all genres. She does not relish the thought of a tragic ending where the main character or heroin does not come out on top. She loves to insert something shocking into her storylines just to keep the reader engaged. It was in 1977, she unknowingly stumbled onto creative arts by needing to take some electives in the 10th grade and became fascinated by it. She enjoyed the class so much that she continued to write just for pleasure and nothing more. It was some years later she took a free class in a local library and was asked by the instructor after something she wrote fascinated the teacher, if she had ever thought about getting her writing published? It was from that time that she also met other women in the class that wanted to get together and spend more time with their writing. It was because of the mutual interest in forming such a group that she took it upon herself to arrange a meeting for a few of the ladies. After several meetings and to the enjoyment that they all share it was in November of 2006 that this group was formed. After a while it was decided that the group needed a name it was then put into a suggestion box, ideas for a name. Several were selected but the most popular was chosen. The members all settling on the name which would be ‘Stone Soup’. She also later started a blog a year later called, ‘Tea and Comfort’. She wanted to create the image of friends getting together over a cup of tea to discuss all sorts of issues from writing to everyday matter. Creating such a place to further reach other writers, was a focus of the idea for a blog. A place where people who loved the craft could have yet another place to just relax, share ideas and conversation. Her plan fits very much into today’s world given the current crisis. She has published some poetry while attending college and is currently working on getting out more of her work for publication. Stay tuned for the upcoming Sci-Fi and more that is in the works!
