About the Book

In Journey Through the Solar System, first published in 2020, broad scientific information about the planetary world is presented in a kid-friendly way, with subtle humor and many colored illustrations. But the structure of the solar system is not this book's main topic. This story is, in the first place, about friendship, about the need to make new friends and the criteria for choosing them, about the importance of maintaining relationships with old friends. The animal tales from The Bird with One Wing and Other Stories (2021) tell children how to overcome complications. They teach how ingenuity and perseverance help and how important it is to have friends who come to the rescue from tough situations. The stories from The Town of Truth and Other Stories (2022) make their readers ponder philosophical values, preparing young people for independent living. Vadim Albukh's stories use light, mild language suitable for children. They all have deep meaning, unexpected twists, and often gentle good humor.

About the Author

Born in the Soviet Union (the Republic of Belarus), Vadim Albukh immigrated with his parents to the United States at the age of three. He graduated high school, earned an Associate Degree from a local community college, plays chess well, and attends Kung Fu Wing Chung classes. Writing is Vadim Albukh's great passion. He mainly wrights for children, but adult readers will also enjoy his stories.
