About the Book

Psalm 103:20 says, “Bless the Lord, you his Angels, who excel in strength, who do his word, heeding the voice of his word.” This means that by reading the poetry in this book out loud, Angels will obey the word of God and heed your prayers.

Expect miracles!

The word “Rhema” in Greek means an utterance or thing said. To speak the rhema word of God is to speak scripture into your life and situation. The rhema word of God works in God’s time and comes to you at the right time. You were meant to be holding this book in your hands right now!

We are living in times of warfare. There are physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual wars in the world today. Just as soldiers in an army must be trained to

use their weapons, you as a soldier in the army of God must be trained to use your weapons. Your voice in prayer is a very powerful weapon!

The rhema word of God comes at the right time. That means that you were

born at the right time, and if you read this book, you will be speaking the word of

God at the right time. Ester 4:14 tells us, “Yet who knows whether you have come

to the kingdom for such a time as this.”

Many of the poems in this book are titled by what they were written for. Some may be titled “For Protection” or “For Healing.” Underneath the title are the

scriptures that were quoted in the poem. I hope that these poems inspire you to find the verses in the bible and read each chapter.

Do not underestimate the power of spoken poetry. This book is called “Powerful Poetics for Prayer” for a reason! You are speaking the word of God. It is written in Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two – edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Few people truly understand the power of their words. It is important how you choose to use your words. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

To add to the power of these spoken prayers I recommend first repenting of your sins. Next, find people to read these poems out loud with. Then, find a place to

pray. I recommend praying in a church or on holy ground (a place that is dedicated to God). Many of these poems were written and spoken at Prayer Mountain, a holy ground that was dedicated to God in the Moravian Falls of North Carolina. In the 1700s the Moravians began 24/7 intercessory prayer that lasted 100 years. This opened heavenly portals in the Moravian Falls which are still open today. The words in this book can connect you to heaven and God’s heavenly host.

When we pray with the word of God, our prayers become aligned with God’s will. John 1:14 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him.”

Praying with the word of God makes our prayers focused, powerful and effective. The word of God can transform our hearts and minds. I hope that as you read this book it transforms you, and your life.
