Step One

Let’s Talk About Your Book

A Publishing Consultant will help you choose the publishing package best suited for you and all your publishing needs. You’ll also learn about options and services available to you, which you can get as part of a package or as an add-on service.

A simple payment process: A representative will go over your AuthorHouse contract with you before you sign to ensure that you’ve understood the terms and conditions of your contract.

Step Two

Submit Your Manuscript

This is the exciting part! At this point you’re going to want to make sure your manuscript is prepared to go into production. Ideally, that means you’ve...

• Revised a few times—enough that you’ve developed and polished the elements that support your book.
• Edited your manuscript to the best of your ability. You can refer to our guide on how to self-edit like a pro.
• Prepared all the other materials necessary for production (e.g., images and sources pertinent to your book).

What's next?

Set a clear timeline for you about how your book will be produced, moving forward.

A one-on-one content evaluation will be given to check your manuscript for any legal issues (plagiarism, libel, copyright infringement, etc.)

Step Three

From Manuscript to Book

During this stage, communication is key. You will be working with multiple professionals in different teams and this is where a Check-in Coordinator steps in. He/she will coordinate closely with you to make sure that your vision is properly communicated to all the teams involved.

Our editorial services include line editing, copyediting, developmental editing and cover copy edits, among others. (Read our guide to the different types of editing.)

We also offer editorial assessment, which may be included in your package or purchased separately. If you are considering getting your book edited, this service will help you gauge what level of editing it needs to polish it.

Step Four

Final Approval

After seeing a proof of your book and if everything is to your liking, you’ll give your approval to finish production and bring your book to life. We will send your book to the printers, oversee printing, and list it in retail sites like Amazon and our own AuthorHouse bookstore.

Step Five

Your Book is Published!

You will receive your first copy of your new book and it will be available for purchase! But our services don’t stop here. Based on your purchased publishing package, book ordering is important because you want to order the right amount. Your Book Consultant will directly help you with this.
