Mindlink

Climbing through a crack in the rocks, he falls down a 20 foot shaft. He breaks his arm, ankle, and sustains lots of injuries. He passes out and regains consciousness some time later in total darkness. Fortunately he finds his torch in his backpack and it illuminates a passage. He drags himself along the passage, which bends here and there till he sees a blank wall by which are two skeletons with scraps of clothing on them. As he nears the blank wall, he notices strange notches in the rock face. Forgetting his ankle, he tries to stand. The pain is so great he faints, but as he falls, his fingers touch the notches.

When he comes round again, he sees the blank wall illuminated by his torchlight. Then he remembers his injuries. He finds he has none at all and wonders if he has imagined them. So he gets to his feet and feels the notches in the wall for a while, when suddenly the rock face slides aside, revealing a passageway beyond. What takes place thereafter is destined to change his life permanently.
