'Don't make a sound, and I won't harm you. Do you understand?,' he said. Nancy nodded her head yes to his demands. Tears began to fill her eyes as she cringed from the shooting pains in her cheeks. 'All right, I'm going to turn you loose, but remember, you scream, you die!,' Bollero said. Nancy could tell by the crazed look on Bollero's face and the cold killer eyes that he meant what he said. Inside she was praying that Chuck or the caretaker or anyone would come to her rescue. Bollero slowly released his grip on her and she didn't move a muscle. She was frozen with fear, unable to speak or budge. 'Now get up and put your coat on. We're going for a little ride, Miss Carver.' Bollero said smiling. 'Oh my God. He wants Sherry...he thinks I'm Sherry.' Nancy thought. She struggled to her feet, her legs wobbling beneath her. She had to try to explain to this madman that she was not who he thought she was. She didn't know anything about what was happening, she only knew that he was abducting the wrong woman. 'But I'm...I'm not who you want. I'm not Sherry Carver,' she choked. Johnny Bollero looked at the papers that had scattered across the floor when he threw the door open. Reaching down he picked up the picture I.D.'s of Sherry's that were laying face up on the floor. He looked at them for a moment and then smiling, back to Nancy. He threw them at her, causing her to cover her face and shake with fear again. 'And this ain't f**king New York either! Get your coat on. Now!,' he demanded. *** But even as they did, the jet began to lose altitude and the controls were shaking violently in the captain and co-pilot's hands. Passengers suddenly panicked and began screaming in the main cabin, their shrill cries penetrating the cabin door. 'lO4l! LA GUARDIA HAS YOU! CAN YOU MAKE TETERBORO?,' the tower asked. There was another loud popping noise and the jetliner dipped hard to the left forcing the captain to steer back to La Guardia as they fought to maintain control of the crippled jet. 'NEGATIVE LAGUARDIA! WE ARE LOSING CONTROL!,' the captain cried. The passengers continued screaming. Suddenly, one of them, a middle aged man leaped from his seat, rushing to an exit door. He tugged at the release handle, shouting to the other passengers as he did. 'We've got to get out of here! We've got to jump into the water or we'll all die! The man that looked like he was in the military jumped out of his seat and tackled the panic stricken man before he could open the emergency exit. He fell, grappling with him to the floor, landing directly in front of Linda Kowen's seat. Linda froze, petrified as the man managed to gain control of the crazed passenger. As he held him tight, he looked up to her and attempted to calm her too. 'Don't worry! We're going to make it!', he assured her. 'We'll all die! We'll all die!', the subdued man screamed. Linda cringed in terror as she turned to watch the flaming engine on her side of the aircraft.

About the Author
This book has come to life after William Tarkington had a bad car accident in 1989. He broke his back and the doctor scheduled him for major surgery that had a 50/50 chance of recovery and could have resulted in him being paralyzed. He wrote this book before the surgery so he would have a form of income and so he could help under-privileged children out of the proceeds. HE WROTE THIS BOOK TO SUBMIT FOR THE PULITZER PRIZE AS THE MOST CREATIVE FICTION NOVEL OF THE YEAR. The surgery was a success, and now he and his wife, Janet, can continue their dream to help homeless, abandoned children to get proper health care, food, clothing and love.
