I would like to introduce you to the world of ANGELO PETRUCCI'S kitchen. Lets start with some simple every day Italian words, WHY?, Because when you use an Italian or French word pertaining to your cooking, it always sounds better. For example, 'Salsa di Pomodori' what the heck is that? Basic tomato sauce. But to your guests it's 'Sol-sa-day-polm-o-door-ray.' Now that you can say that, lets add a little more to it, 'Farfalle,' now we have 'Sol-sa-day-polm--door-ray-far-fall-e.' You're not quite Italian yet! Farfalle is only the Italian word for bow-tie style noodles, so in this case what we have is a wonderful sounding tomato sauce with pasta. OH SO SIMPLE! Hey!!! You did well, I'm still having a hard time saying that phrase. Well you came this far, so lets try another one. This time it's an Italian main course.
'INVOLTINI di BISTECCHE' or (In-vol-tee-knee-day-bis-sech-chi) try to say that fast three times. It means (rolled stuffed steak) Why can't chefs' just say that? Below is a short list of some of the dishes I'll be introducing you to. Good luck and have fun.

About the Book
The Godfathers' Cookbook is designed for the gourmet of all ages. I have created recipes and assembled them into a theme book that pays homage to the America of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. My work is a collected anthology of recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinners. I have organized these recipes based upon different Mafia figures from the past. I have highlighted the work with facts about each Mafioso including their habits, experiences, likes and dislikes. In addition to the actual recipes, I have spread throughout my book biographies of cinema stars, sports figures, comedians and musicians. I have also included historical anecdotes and nutritional information. The recipes themselves are simple and easy to follow, and each contain wine, bread and desert recommendations. My cookbook attempts to mix facts, fun and food, but not necessarily in that order, therefore keeping in interesting and exciting, educational and humorous.
About the Author
To all his friends Angelo is the most generous and thoughtful person they know. He has taught cooking in many restaurants, and to many young couples just starting out. Angelo comes from a very large Italian family. Seven brothers and no sisters. His father died when he was eight years old and left him to fend for himself. Angelo told me once, he learned to cook bologna sixteen different ways before he was twelve. From what I've seen and tried in this cookbook, he sure came a hell of a long way. Angelo is a 'down-to earth cook', with a vivid imagination you would not believe until you try some of his recipes. He has a great sense of humor, and I'm sure it will reflect in his book. Angelo is from Cleveland, Buffalo, and Washington, D.C. Area! He has developed a multi-faceted and diverse culinary background, these are just a few of the reasons we all love him.
