As Estherell meekly entered the village, ***** The buck, meanwhile, just could not wait ***** Neither of the holy parents
She felt ashamed and somewhat distressed.
Maybe she would not even be welcomed,
Since like a beggar she was truly dressed.
But before she could tidy up her garments,
Shadowy figures from the doorways appeared.
And as they all gathered around her,
She sensed they were strangers to be feared.
They greeted her coldly and they looked very mean,
These creatures that occupied the street.
They all were ugly, jeering implings.
They frightened her from her head to her feet.
When one of them growled what she wanted,
And before she had a chance to reply,
One little urchin threw a tiny snowball,
Which painfully struck her above her right eye.
Then taunting songs they started singing,
And awful pranks they upon her played,
Till soon tears appeared from her eyelids.
My, was poor Estherell ever dismayed.
As she nursed the bruises they had given her,
She heard the implings unanimously agree,
Despite who she was or what she was wanting,
Alive she would never leave their cruel city.
For the actual scuffle to start.
Already he was relishing
Possession of Estherell’s heart.
Bowing his head, the buck then headed
Directly for Rudolph’s young frame.
But Rudolph quickly stepped aside
Causing the buck to miss his aim.
"You were just lucky," snorted the buck.
"Watch! My next charge won’t be in vain."
No sooner said, the determined buck
Darted for Rudolph once again.
Now this time Rudolph had no choice
But to defend himself this day.
The buck stormed at him with such speed,
He could not get out of his way.
All he could do, instinctively,
Was dip his head-rack for a fight.
The loud clash of locking antlers
Echoed everywhere Christmas night.
Had reason to ever oppose
Visitors from gently touching
Their child wrapped in swaddling clothes.
Even Rudolph and Estherell
Were permitted to enter their shed
And get a much closer view of
The cherub in the makeshift bed.
"Isn’t He just adorable?"
Estherell praised the babe in the bin
While Rudolph stood making faces
Trying to get the tot to grin.
But not until good Rudolph rubbed
The babe’s cheeks with his nose aglow
Did Precious Jesus coo and smile,
Jiggle his arms and legs to and fro.

A VERY DEER LOVE STORY
While aimlessly wandering together, a near tragedy takes place. In overcoming the ordeal, the two also resolve their personal problems. This leads them to displaying love for each other and eventual marriage performed by none other than Santa Claus.
During their honeymoon travels, they experience a variety of adventures. Rudolph is challenged to a duel over Estherell’s affection. The deer wander into the town of Bethlehem and pay homage to baby Jesus lying in the manger. And as they venture back to the North Pole, they unselfishly perform acts of charity to a former foe. In conclusion, Estherell gives birth to a fawn of her own.

Author, Michael J.
