About the Book

  • Our children are being exploited in the modern world by our governments, our legal system, and are forgotten by our modern society.

  • Children are going to sleep traumatized and malnourished behind the prison wall of the so-called "home".

  • Children exposed to domestic violence at home are more likely to be psychologically wounded, violent, and incarcerated than the national average.

  • Last year, more than twenty five million American children did not see their father during the holiday season.

  • Behind the tall barb-wired walls of third world sweat shops, children as young as five manufacture stylish commodities such as celebrity sneakers and designer jeans at wages as low as one dollar a day.

  • Through expensive commercials featuring sport legends and other children idols the corporate world persuades both rich and poor children to desire the same commodities, at prices ranging from fifty to one hundred and fifty dollars.

  • Pimps as well as parents use children as victims, prostitutes, drug pushers, hustlers, and servants to them and other masters.

  • Today s children spend more time preparing for their funeral than their future.

Do these atrocities exist because children do not vote and cannot afford lobbyists in a highly politicized world?

Have we written our own lethal prescriptions for the disasters we have recently witnessed?

WHO'S RAPING THE CHILDREN? anatomically dissects the different organs which make up the body of this endemic problem, describes the pathophysiology behind them, and proposes holistic remedies.

About the Author

Dr. Bernier Lauredan, an African American Pediatrician, provides medical care and support mainly to the poor and disenchanted, listens to daily grievances, witnesses the shootings, attends the funerals, shares the pains, and counsels the children, parents, friends and relatives.

A solider in the Invisible army for the defense of our children, this engaged community physician sits on many decision-making boards. He lobbies legislators, advocates in forums, lectures, and mentors children in an attempt to bring about changes and show rays of hope to those without a light at the end of the tunnel.

This humble, orphaned immigrant also welcomes his being the beneficiary of a relative degree of success out of darkness.

He uses his wealth of experience extracted from his days as a poor immigrant, who worked his way through higher education to become a successful pediatrician. Now a respected leader of his New Jersey community, he uses his voice to provide and uplifting and inspiring message.
