Fruity Fruits Thee say an apple a day For some reason you overlook the pear I’m yellow and I’m round I came in all different colors Unlike my friend of the same color
keeps the doctor away
So what can I say
I suppose I’m her e to stay.
I’m either too hard or too green
Put me close to the apple I’m not seen
One thing about me though, I’m shapely and I’m lean.
I’m juicy and I’m sound
Unlike some of the other fruits
I can be used for many things
I’m a specialty for the common cold
and the retied that I bring
I can help your aching head
I am the orange you see
Just try me.
green, white, red, and black
I grow on vine picked and packed in stacks
Sometimes I’m a little bitter
But mostly I am sweet.
In any way I’m a delight and a treat
I can be eaten as I am
You can make from me a wine or jam
I’m good in any way
I’m the grape that will save the day.
I’m as bitter as he is sweet
And on a warm day in summer
I can be so neat.

Virginia D. Hale Murray married with three sons, Loving her family has given her inspiration in her writing, She has always been inspired by the low of words in the writing of poetry, As a young child, she wrote poetry, but never thought to share her poetry writings with others. She graduated from Calvin S. Brown High School in Winton, North Carolina, was poetess of her senior class and voted one most likely to succeed. She attended and completed all courses needed for Nurses Attendant at Harlem Valley State Hospital, Wingdale, New York. She also attended Virginia Union University in Richmond, Va., majoring in Sociology. And completed two years of study at Craven Community College in New Bern, North Carolina. She is presently employed with the Craven County Schools as a Teacher Assistant. She is a Minister of the Gospel, and presently studying with the Goldboro Baleigh Institute for completion of study for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was inspired by God to encourage the hearts of man through her world Vol. 11 John Campbell, Editor & Publisher. Another of her poems "To Be Free" was given to the Golden Notes of New Bern, North Carolina, has been put to music and recorded on record and tapes. Another poems published by the Poetry Guild.
