When the Pharisees applied the law that stated, "Keep the Sabbath holy," they erred because they did not generalize the law to include helping people. The error of tire Pharisees increased when they refused to accept a generalization of the law to include people in need when Jesus taught there about it. Jesus had been teaching them for about two years that they were not correctly applying the rule about keeping the Sabbath holy. They kept asking Him if it was lawful to heal on the Sabbath, and He kept proving to them that it was lawful, but they kept on believing that it was not lawful to heal on the Sabbath. It is evident that they had been thinking deeply about it when Jesus healed the man with dropsy at the Pharisees' banquet. When the Pharisees stated that Jesus "Perverted the nation" during the trials of Jesus, they were making a statement that includes the teaching of Jesus about the Sabbath, though it does not seem that they stated distinctly that the Sabbath rule was referred, to by the word "perverted." The phrase, "Perverteth the nation," Therefore, the ministry of Jesus to the Pharisees and lawyers had no effect upon them because they kept accusing Jesus of the same things throughout the whole time of His ministry to them. The accusations against Jesus at the trials were the same as when He was teaching and healing. As noted above Jesus hoped that the Pharisees and lawyers would believe on Him after the crucifixion. A rapid reading of Acts teaches that all of the Pharisees and the other authorities did not believe on Jesus because persecution continued. The knowledge that God the Father very intrinsically and extensively planned the events around the crucifixion even before the creation, is not necessary for receiving eternal life. Yet, part I is also an amazement, an enhancement, and a rejoycement to the one receiving, or having received that everlasting life spoken of in John 3:16. The knowledge of that cooperation of the Father and the Son in the production of that everlasting life is indeed a super magnificent, cosmic operation to everyone that has received it and to everyone who shall receive it.

The book is a telescopic view of the central events of the Universe. It uses the mathematical concept of possibilities to amplify the teachings of the first part of the book. It uses an intimate observation of the central person of the Universe as He plunges into the Great Beyond in order to make salvation possible for all those who will believe upon Him in the second part of the book. The magnitude of the events around Calvary use darkness and tremors to focus an infinite beam of light upon the scared hill. The last units of the book demonstrate the infinite power of God as He forms the world as a stage for that Divine surge of marvelous love for the redemption of all races of people upon the earth. This proves that God really does have the whole world in His grip.
