This book seeks to preserve the stories that abound, for all generations to enjoy. It is about ghosts, humorous situations, and tales that touch the heart. It is about moonshining, fishing, sinkholes, and dirt-surfing. This is the first edition - there is more to come!
About the Author
Betsy James has always been fascinated by the art of storytelling. Her uncle, Billy Fielder (deceased), a well-known columnist and editor from South Carolina, was always spinning yarns when she was a child. In an attempt to preserve the unique culture of her native North Florida, she's spent many years recording the stories told in her series of books, Sandsprurs and Sawgrass - a collection of stories from North Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in Advanced Liberal Arts. She also spent five years at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University studying flute and dance. She now resides in Madison, Florida, with her teenage son and elderly father.
