About the Book

Fluff My Pillow was inspired by two terminally ill cancer patients out on the sunporch during student nurse days. When there were no more answers for them, their only request was 'fluff my pillow.' They taught that life does not have all the answers and to just be content with what you have now.

The book is about hospital experiences and various changes in the nursing and healthcare system. It was written for the professional and lay person. Some explanations may seem remedial and some confusing, both can understood.

This two hundred page non-fiction novel consists of stories about student nurse days, historical events, movies, economics and unresolved medical issues.

Appendices and a miscellaneous section of some jovial information at the back of the book have bee added for a more clearer understanding of locales.

There are some happy, funny hospital stories and some serious critical stories in Fluff My Pillow. You will enjoy reading about the way things were fifty years ago. You'll shake your head and ask, why? 'That's the way it was.'
