About the Book

In Parents We Trust tells a story regarding a case of false allegations of abuse. Imagine Gerald Karlin's predicament. The father in the story files for continued liberal visitation rights with his two sons. Instead, when the court system finally reinstates visitation, only then does the Karlin family's worst nightmare begin.

After reuniting and spending a happy Father's Day together in June of 1993, he returns the boys to their mother. Soon after, other than court appearances, Karlin wonders if he will ever see his sons again. In fact, he worries if he will lose not only his sons but also his freedom, simply because of a lie. See for yourself, the tragic injustice which the Karlin family must live through while trying to survive a cruel attack by a false weapon and the devastating turn of events which follow.
