The way I see it, now, it was necessary for me to find new ways to accomplish what I was after. And finding the new ways ultimately meant finding new ways of "pool thinking". At the same time that I resigned my laborious efforts, in looking for those mysterious and privileged pool secrets with the way I was taught, I began uncovering some surprising truths. Truths that were not mysterious or clandestine, but, rather subtle and simply overlooked. Instituting new pool terms such as; the "Facial Guide Points", and the "Real Equator Line" has greatly helped to better my Pool mentality. They had become my allies in my battle against Pool Ignorance and assisted me in locating some of my invisible pool enemies. However, it wasn't until I did more research and experimented with different approaches that I, finally, began to see some light at the end of the tunnel. New phrases like; "Outward-Inward Eye Sight Angles", the "Real Cue-ball Center Aim Point" and the "Back Cue-ball Center Point", and "Eye-Switching" helped to broaden my understanding, even more. Also, as you will learn, the word "Apparent" led me to more ways for recognizing and correcting my pool faults and it proves to be an invaluable word in my pool vocabulary. I will try to show you that the process of aiming spherical-shaped balls involves more than meets the normal untrained eye. In order to succeed with consistent execution, whether it be in playing the various Pool games, Billiard games, Snooker (and I'll even throw in Bumper Pool), you must develop what I like to call.... "Pool Eyes". Pool Eyes help you to recognize the various nuances concerning the games that I have just mentioned. They can see more than the lesser-trained eyes. I'm not saying that if your vision is not 20-20 and you need eyeglasses to play, you do not already have, or will get Pool Eyes. Not at all! Because the Pool Eyes that I'm referring to are insightful. They dwell in our "Pool Minds". Oh, yes! The process of aiming in these games requires some very sensitive skills, indeed. Even, if you were lucky enough to be born with some or all of these prerequisites, to develop these skills, you must study carefully and use efficient practice time at the table. I’ll let you in on a secret, if your improvement has reached a stagnant point for longer than you think it should be lasting, and you just feel inside or know that you can play better, remember this saying: "If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting". Simply translated - "Try doing it another way". (And, while you ‘re at it, why not take a lesson?) AHEAD There are New Phrases And New Thoughts!

About the Author
Richard Kranicki is a Pool Teacher/Actor/Writer/Musician/Electronic Engineering Technician who was born, grew up, and still lives in South Philadelphia. At fourteen years old, he played semi-pro basketball. At sixteen, he played his first game of Pool. His pool tutors include Jerry Briesath and Don Feeney. Among his proudest pool achievements was to have the greatest pool player of all time – the late Willie Mosconi – consent to work with him on an instructional book. Another memorable moment was playing Willie in a Charity Event in 1990. [Richard is proud to say ... Willie won every game.] Richard has also written a pool screenplay, which has been getting some interest for a future movie. And to add to his credits, he is currently researching more innovative ideas to teach "Cue Ball Speed Control" and "Cue Ball English Applications" for his upcoming books!
