The Wedding
It is her day and she has
been preparing for it all of her life.
She finally met that doll she used to play
with and he is better than her dreams.
He is everything that she wanted.
This mystical day began when she was younger
and she fell in love with the idea of marriage.
He at the same time fell in love with
these golden curls that passed him.
He had to stop and watch this
beautiful young lady.
She glimmered in the sunlight as
she daintily strode passed.
This is when the true
majesty of Love is born.
It is then spurned on by our massive imaginations
If you imagine you can make
it all happen for you,
Your vision of this omnipresent kingdom can
be visited by you on this special day.
A day that was meant to be
enjoyed by all the family and friends that attend.
They are an integral part of the
success of this wonderful day.
So let us rejoice in this union of mind and
souls of each person in this holy sanctuary.
Always keep this serene peace in your mind.
And in days of bad fortune when
times are straining this couple,
We ask all mighty God to give us strength
to continue and overcome
any traumas of everyday life.
All of us here must be committed
to this union for it to flourish.
And flourish this union will.
It will bloom into a wonderful
rose that will brighten us everyday.
So little girls remember that when
you run around that tree in the sun
that little boy learned what it means
to love a lady.
The Chance to Win
This magnificent creature so proud, so bold.
This lady of only three years old.
She gallivants around, head held high.
What a sight to see her dark eye.
Her coat is well polished
and gleams like onyx stone.
The sun dances ‘round her
and shimmers back off of her thrown.
This majestic queen that is well defined.
She sneers her nose back.
Then a little hop towards the rack.
This gated beauty is waiting her call.
There it is and she sprints
towards the inner wall.
If she can do it; her father will say.
"I have been blessed on this wonderful day.
For off she goes around the bend,
Her neck is out front until the end.
She runs towards roses.
Then the cameras stop her for poses.
Today she has won,
tomorrow she sprints free in her meadow.

About the Book
The book is a well-written classical poetry collection. It is written to please an American audience. There are romance and nature poems as well as many inspirational poems. It is well-written and is meant for a timeless reader. It can be read 1,500 years ago to 1,500 years in the future and still greatly enjoyed. There are many hours spent on some poems to only minutes on others. Some of the poems are lengthy but they always hold the audience of edge.
About the Author
Hello, all of you out there in bookland. My name is Sean Donovan and I love poetry, I hope you do too. I have written mostly lyrical poems. I am a Lyricist and a Singer/Songwriter. I am in the PRO B.M.I. and the Songwriters Guild of America. My Group is The Waters. I write all genres of music. I have been writing for about twenty-six years almost and I have some other Copyrighted lyrical poems in the Library of Congress. Recently I have been typing up more of my lyrical poems to send to get Copyrighted. I studied at West Chester University and graduated cum laude from Temple University in Biology. It was very helpful in learning Greek and Latin that is used in the sciences. I also took three years of Spanish at Haverford High School in PA. I have worked for thirteen years in different jobs mostly in food service, lighting, the trades. My hobbies are writing, skiing and biking. I played Football, Lacrosse and Wrestled at Haverford High School in Havertown, PA. When I was at West Chester I played intermural Hockey. Then I joined Theta Chi and played Flag Football, Soccer, and Hockey towards the Greek Cup, which, We won that year.
