About the Author

Mary Elizabeth Butler -- Wright A.K.A. (Me. B. Wright) is the fourth of nine children, born in Warren, Arkansas raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary Wright is a professional model (retired), voted number one at John Robert Powers Modeling Agency, class of 1974, placed fourth in Marquette University’s 1968 Literature Contest, and holds such titles as: Milwaukee’s Ten Best Dressed Black Women of 1974, Miss Black Milwaukee Bathing Beauty Queen of 1968, and Baron’s Sweetheart (a high school boy’s group).

She is currently an active member at Christian Faith Fellowship Church, pastors (Darrell and Pamela Hines) in Milwaukee, WI. Mary is a devoted wife and mother of one daughter, Marcia Wright -- Tillman (actress) and son-in-law, George Tillman Jr. (writer/director of Soul Food), an aspiring author who takes great pleasure in serving God and giving him all his glory.
